While the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic has not yet been won, we can see that an unprecedented reality is unfolding. This is the new normal that society and companies are preparing for.
After a massively stressful 2020 which ended in uncertainty, 2021 burst on the industry scene with huge challenges to accelerate digital transformation and sustainability in order to increase agility and resiliency. The pandemic has dramatically amplified the speed at which digitalization is fundamentally changing businesses and the way they operate.
Although from a technical standpoint the future belongs to companies which place technology on top of their agenda, their success will also largely depend on switching the focus on their employees’ well-being. The isolation we experienced while working remotely during the pandemic has highlighted the importance of reconnecting as human beings and coworkers through fun activities, since we can only reach our full potential when we are happy and healthy.
Our Team Challenge – Stay Fit & Healthy powered by Charge Fitness involves technology at its best, which strongly supports a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance. By helping us reap the benefits of a long and arduous workout in only 20 minutes through EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation), our team challenge saves us time and makes us bond over playful competitions. Plus, we can’t say no to a guilt-free, post-workout muffin.
Since we do care about our team’s well-being, we have embraced the path to a healthy lifestyle early on and brought it to the office as part of our culture.
What is your fit-and-healthy challenge for this year?
These are difficult times for the people within the IT and Software Development industry to stay healthy and fit. Since I am a strong promoter of a healthy lifestyle, I made sure to create an environment based on positive challenges and rewards to encourage our team to embrace a healthy lifestyle through technology. With Charge Fitness – a new 20-minute workout approach that we introduced to our employees – we wanted to support them to stay fit and healthy, organized, and balanced, but in less time! Overall, this initiative has brought a new energy to our team and a healthier approach to our lunch breaks.”
